The $120 million project has been under construction for more than two years and has been in the planning, financing, and design phases for more than five years, according to Robert Green, Encinitas based co-developer of the hotel.

Born and raised

Local San Diego restaurant rock stars Consortium Holdings (CH Projects) are making another big splash on the Little Italy restaurant scene. Construction is now underway on Born & Raised, a new steak house which will replace the old Nelson’s Photo space on the corner of India and Fir (1909 India St, 92101).

The 8,000 sq space will span two levels and will include a usable 1,500 rooftop terrace, with an additional 2,000 sq ft designated as an “urban garden.” The “urban garden” will be used to grow herbs and produce to be used in the restaurant.

CH is already locally known in Little Italy for their work on Ironside Fish & Oyster, Craft & Commerce, and Underbelly… located under Jonathan Segal’s “The Q.”

Known for their style, CH are again

manchester gateway approved

For years now, Downtown San Diego residents have been waiting to see what is going to happen on along the embarcadero between Broadway and Harbor Dr. Well, the approval is in and we’ve just gotten our first look at Doug Manchester’s plan for the waterfront. check out the video below:

This is BIG news for residents in Downtown’s Columbia and Marina neighborhood’s. Judging from the renderings, owners at Electra, Pacific Gate, Park Place, and The Grande could all see changes to their view when this project is complete.

Now it’s important to note, the new construction is not only a bad thing. Because of the high end area that our embarcadero is looking to become, it’s very likely that the commercial space included in the Gateway project will

Residents of the East Village have been looking at a vacant space on J st since TOAST left in 2015. Well I’m super excited to write that Oscars Mexican Seafood is set to open in that space beginning Tuesday, 3/22!

Oscars currently has two locations in Pacific Beach and a 3rd in Hillcrest on University Ave. Known for their $1.99 fish tacos, Oscars has quickly become one of San Diego’s quickest growing restaurants. The Hillcrest location has 4.5 stars on Yelp with over 700 reviews.

Desperate for a quick and easy lunch option, I think that the East Village is going to embrace Oscars. Check out their website here and we will see you there starting Tuesday.

The folks at The Taco Stand in La Jolla have just opened up for business in Downtown San Diego. This little gem is located in the Core neighborhood at 645 B St, between 6th and 7th Ave. You have to be on the lookout for it because they’re so new that they don’t have their sign up yet.

I stopped by yesterday to try them out and was a happy camper. I don’t claim to be a food critic but I do know a thing or two about Carne Asada tacos, and The Taco Stand nails Carne Asada tacos.

The atmosphere is very cool but the spot is pretty small, so I imagine that the lunch rushes will have lines out the door once the financial district finds out about The Taco Stand.

Over the past few days, we have had the opportunity to attend a few invite only “preview parties” at the new sales gallery for Pacific Gate by BOSA. In case you missed it, Pacific Gate is the new luxury high rise condo that is under construction in the Columbia neighborhood.

These events were open to our registered clients, who are now the first to get to see the scale model of the building and the interior appointments. There are still a few public events as well before the sales office kicks into full swing with reservations and 1 on 1 walkthroughs, which begin Wednesday, February 25th.

The events were very informal and allowed us and our clients about an hour to walk around and preview a model kitchen and bathroom of what will be the ’02 stack of…

Downtown San Diego’s historic Hotel Churchill on 9th Ave & C St is undergoing a major renovation. Work on the building started late in 2015 and is expected to be finished in mid 2016.

There were numerous bids for the land, which includes the parking lot located on the south side of the block, but in the end the San Diego Housing Commission was awarded the project to be transformed into 72 units of affordable housing for homeless veterans and the mentally handicapped. The affordable housing restriction will stay in place for the next 65 years and applicants must make under 50% of the Area Median Income ($28,250).

The Grand Opening of Fault Line Park took place on Friday, August 28th, 2015, making it the first public park in downtown’s East Village neighborhood since Park at the Park was built in 2004. City officials and neighborhood activists took part in the ribbon-cutting including Mayor Kevin Faulkner, City Councilman Todd Gloria, Pinnacle Developer Michael Decotiis, and East Village Association President David Hazan.

A Multi-Use Site

Fault Line Park, which provides 1.3 acres of open park space, was made possible by a partnership between Civic San Diego and the developers of Pinnacle on the Park, a 46 story twin tower apartment building measuring 500 feet tall, making it now the tallest residential building in San Diego, usurping the title from the

In July 2015, City Consulting Group closed 6 real estate transactions. Oddly enough 2 of them closed on July 2nd and 3 on July 28th. We detail these successful sales and share our clients stories below.

We met Alice and Joseph at the Homeowners Preview Party we had for one of our downtown San Diego listings, Sapphire 2101. We invited residents of the building to attend and while this lovely couple wasn’t planning on selling their Sapphire residence, they had a home in Mt. Helix they were ready to sell. They gave us the listing with great excitement about our videos, 3D tours, and marketing experience. Oddly enough, before even listing the home for sale on the MLS, a cash buyer called on our For Sale sign at the
